Fine-art photography prints

Prints are prepared according to the rules of collector’s photography and meet the high Archival standards.

  • Museum quality author’s printing – pigment prints [Giclée] on own devices [Epson SC P900]. Meets requirements of Epson Digigraphie. Nobody but the author has contact with the original digital file.
  • Printing on fine-art museum quality papers like Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 – considered by art galleries as one of the best for fine-art prints. Also Photo Rag Pearl 320 and Photo Rag Baryta 315 – baryta papers, which give a unique analogue look, there are equivalent of a classic silver halide prints. Photo Rag Baryta is also one of the favorite papers of art collectors.
  • Limited edition of prints – 10 copies.
  • Each Print is signed by Koh-i-Noor graphite pencil [1900, 4b] on matt papers or archival Sakura pen on Baryta papers [Japanese Pigma Ink].
  • Signature is under the photo / printout on a sheet of paper in the lower right corner and Serial number in the lower left corner.
  • Hahnemühle certificate [instead of the stamp] – a unique acid-free hologram sticked on the other side of the printout and another on a separate A4 sheet with full data about the photo. Each pair of holograms contains a unique serial number that is registered in the Hahnemühle system.

HAHNEMÜHLE – One of the earliest European fine-art papers manufacturers [over 500 years of tradition], which has been invited to the Epson Digigraphie program.

Framing

  • Framing available on request only in case of personal collection.
  • Self-Framing – Method of framing recommend below.

Framing method

Framing according to museum standards in dry mounting.
All materials used meet archival standards and come from top manufacturers.

Framing items

  • Frames
    Size 70x50cm for A2 format.
As a standard I recommend frames by Nielsen [US brand], the Alpha model [or C2, Accent]. Timeless, minimalist, aluminum, black matt or sometimes also silver. They have a narrow stylish profile, modern design. Standard glass included. Apart from ready-made frames, Nielsen also offers many aluminum profiles, that can be cut on dimension. I like popular profile No. 11. [Glass can be also museum quality with UV filter by Nielsen or TruVue].
  • Passe-partout
For matboards I recommend [better] conservation quality made from acid-free alfacellulose / or [best] museum quality called Rag, its 100% cotton. I prefer natural white / off-white color, which goes well with fine-art paper without OBA [Optical brightness agents]. Brands: Crescent, Romerturm, Canson, Hahnemühle.
  • Back
For backing boards I recommend Corri-Cor by Crescent – [better] Conservation quality], or RagMat solids – [best] Museum quality. Brands: Crescent, Romerturm, Canson, Hahnemühle.
  • Mounting
Prints can be often in different sizes [smaller] than frames, so they should be mounted on backboards. I recommend dry mounting – non-invasive, no gluing. This mounting is more archival and frame can be replaced if necessary. I use Mounting corners [Crescent, Lineco, Arcare] – acid-free, sticked to the back where the Print is placed in. Corners are covered by Passe-partout.
